Short Biography

Margarita Sánchez-Jiménez (Barcelona 1963) is Associate professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, at the Polytechnical University of Catalonia (UPC). Before joining the UPC, she worked as associate professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering at the extinct Barcelona University School of Industrial and Technical Engineering (EUETIB). She received her PhD in Polymers and Biopolymers from the UPC in 2017. Her research has led to several publications and invited conferences. Her main axis of research being currently focused in a project about autonomous devices for detection and release: assembly of biomedical systems for diagnostic therapy.
