Research Line
Development of biocompatible and electrically conductive hydrogels for regenerative medicine, with a particular focus on muscle and neural tissue regeneration. The research investigates the effect of different electrical stimuli on cell populations embedded in conductive hydrogels and their potential to promote tissue regeneration.
Group, Project, and Research Lines within IMEM
The research is carried out within the IMEM Group as part of the COSTA project, under the Biomedical Platforms for Tissue Regeneration research line. The work focuses on the development of materials for regenerative medicine, optimizing their mechanical and electrical properties and evaluating their performance through cell culture studies. The doctoral research is funded by an FPI fellowship from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (PRE2022 PID2021-125767OB-I00) and is supervised by Dr. Carlos Alemán Llansó and Dr. María del Mar Pérez Madrigal.
