Margarita Sánchez-Jiménez (Barcelona, 1963) is a Collaborator Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) and has been a researcher at the Innovation in Materials and Molecular Engineering (IMEM) group since 2013, currently within IMEM-BRT. She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Barcelona and obtained her PhD in 2017.

Her research experience within IMEM encompasses conductive polymers and hybrid materials for advanced applications, smart electronic skin, autonomous devices for the detection and controlled release of compounds and drugs, multifunctional conductive and inductive hydrogel-based platforms, and electroresponsive bioplatforms for biomedical applications. Since 2020, she has also been a researcher member of Xartec Salut (Health Technology R&D&I Network).
