Research Line

PhD research focused on the design and development of multifunctional hydrogels and biopolymer-based scaffolds for biomedical applications, particularly skin tissue regeneration. The research involves the development of smart biomaterials with tailored mechanical properties, stimuli-responsive behavior, and biosensing capabilities. Current work focuses on controlled drug delivery systems and 3D-printed scaffolds, in collaboration with international research groups.

Group, Project, and Research Lines within IMEM

Member of the Innovation in Materials and Molecular Engineering (IMEM) group. The PhD project is supervised by Prof. Carlos Alemán (IMEM) and Prof. Roberto Macovez (GCM, Department of Physics), and involves collaborations with international research groups, including the TMAT group at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
