Research Line
My research focuses on the development of advanced materials and sensing platforms for biomedical and environmental applications. Current work includes the optimization of optoplasmonic immunosensors in collaboration with Mecwins S.A. (Tres Cantos, Madrid), as well as the development of multiplexed electrochemical sensors for bacterial biomarkers. Research activities also extend to water purification and environmental monitoring, using porous materials such as hydroxyapatite and hydrogels for contaminant removal, together with field studies focused on marine pollution and microplastics.
Group, Project, and Research Lines within IMEM
Member of the Innovation in Materials and Molecular Engineering (IMEM) group. Within the UPC, my PhD project is supervised by Prof. Carlos Alemán and Prof. Elaine Armelin.
The research includes an industrial collaboration with Mecwins S.A. (Tres Cantos, Madrid) focused on the characterization and optimization of optoplasmonic immunosensors, as well as collaboration with the One Ocean Foundation through the M.A.R.E. project, involving marine environmental monitoring and the study of emerging pollutants, particularly microplastics.
