Research Line
My research focuses on the development of smart polymeric and peptide-based platforms for biomedical applications, combining polymeric biomaterials, peptide self-assembly, electrochemistry, and controlled drug delivery. As a Marie Skłodowska-Curie doctoral researcher, I work on the design of electroresponsive peptide carriers and functional polymeric systems for antimicrobial delivery, electrochemical sensing, and regenerative medicine.
My current research includes the development of α/β-peptide self-assembled systems, peptide-functionalized conducting polymers such as PEDOT, electroresponsive thermoplastic materials, polymeric nanoparticles, electrospun scaffolds, and hydrogel-based delivery systems. I investigate the relationship between molecular organization, polymer–drug interactions, electrical stimulation, electrochemical performance, and controlled drug release. The developed materials are further evaluated through physicochemical characterization, microbiological assays, and in vitro biocompatibility studies.
