My research work consists of molecular simulations and DFT calculations for the development of peptide nanomaterials with applications in regenerative medicine. My work aims to elucidate the supramolecular interactions responsible for the formation of self- assembling organisation, particularly during electrospinning of short peptides, hydrogelation of lipidated peptides and the effect of solvent on molecular conformations. I have also worked with polymeric systems such as PLA and modelled the effect of low atmospheric plasma treatment for its applications in surface treatment and at the interface with peptides.
