COSTA
Improving Multifunctional Electro-responsive Bioplatforms by the Optimization of their Core Elements: COmposition, STructure and Attributes (COSTA)
The COSTA project aims at developing advanced and optimized multifunctional biomedical platforms to promote tissue regeneration, release drugs and monitor bioanalytes in real time (in particular, those that allow the detection of bacterial infections while identifying the pathogen causing them) using electrical stimuli. The smart bioplatforms developed in COSTA, which overcome the shortcomings detected in current bioplatforms and go significantly beyond the present state of the art, will be used for skin would healing, cardiac tissue regeneration and skeletal muscle tissue therapy.
